Protests broke in Pakistan after the detention of TLP chief Saad Rizvi.

Security forces imprisoned Tehreek Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) chief Saad Rizvi on April 12 because of his latest call for protest against the Pakistan-France diplomatic relationship.

Security forces imprisoned Tehreek Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) chief Saad Rizvi on April 12 because of his latest call for protest against the Pakistan-France diplomatic relationship. Previously, the Government of Pakistan had signed a settlement with TLP leadership, which resulted in the deferment of Pakistan-France trade relationships.

The arrest of Saad Rizvi fumed his supporters, who took the matter to the streets of Pakistan. Demonstrations are happening in different cities while the protesters are demanding to set free the TLP chief. They (the protestors) will never end their sit-in until their demands are fulfilled, said the “TLP leadership.”

However, no FIR has been registered yet. On the other hand, the authorities claim that their purpose behind TLP’s chief detention is to maintain the law and order situation.

The TLP leadership said that the occurrence of chaos and ravage is caused by anarchist elements, not the TLP agitators, while the digital media tells us rather a different story.

According to our resources, clause 302 has been registered against Saad Rizvi in Shahdara police station under 7-ATA.
